It is composed of a coupler, a buffer, a coupler yoke, a slave plate, etc., and is installed in the traction beam at the end of the vehicle chassis structure. Couplers are vehicle components used to achieve coupling between locomotives and vehicles or between vehicles, transmit traction and impact forces, and maintain a certain distance between vehicles.
Product Characteristics
1.Structural Design: The AAR special E - grade steel train coupler is typically composed of major components such as the hook tongue, hook body, hook tail frame, and buffer. These components are precisely machined and assembled to form a complete coupler system.
2.Connection Method: The coupler's connection method is divided into top - acting and bottom - acting. For top - acting couplers, the hook tongue is above the hook body, and the coupling is achieved by lifting the hook tongue. For bottom - acting couplers, the hook tongue is below the hook body, and the coupling is achieved by pushing the hook tongue.
3.Load bearing Capacity: The E - grade steel coupler can withstand significant tractive force and impact force. The minimum breaking load of the hook body is generally above 4005 kN, and that of the hook tongue is above 3439 kN.
4.Safety and Reliability: The coupler design fully considers safety and reliability, featuring various anti - separation and anti- jump safety devices. Examples include the anti - separation device below the hook head and the interlocking sleeve head and sleeve opening, which effectively prevent unexpected separation of the coupler during train operation.
